Hello! I’ve had my head buried deep in my desk this month finishing a few big projects. Most of it is still under wraps, but here’s a tiny peek at some of the many, many flowers I got to draw for a beautiful book I’m illustrating with @thamesandhudsonau. I submitted around 80 illustrations last week and it did really feel like I finally reached a mountain summit! 🥾 More to come soon, thank you for being here ❤️

I spent this week nestled in nature at the @jackywinter artist residency. Time seemed to slow down in the sleepy autumn garden and I had the most relaxing days working away in the studio, listening to birdsongs and watching light move across the trees, turning everything into a kaleidoscope of greens. And how good it was to have a big studio to spread out on! It was heaven 🎶

I was recently asked about why I draw what I draw. I’ve never really given this much of a thought actually. But I know I’ve always been drawn to these window scenes - both looking inwards and outwards... There’s something inviting and hopeful about them, which makes me go back to them again and again. A new sketchbook page featuring adorable daffs, inspo from @sean_anthony_pritchard 💛

I illustrated a book! It was the best feeling coming home from our trip to receive the advance copy of @charlottecoote latest book “The Flower Room”.
